The weekend edit #4

As we’re half way through the month, November is starting to feel a little like the calm before the storm. I’ve had a relatively low-key month so far, enjoying the odd dinner out and catch up drinks whilst slowly getting organised and mentally preparing myself for a month of festivities. There’s so much to do in London in December it seems sensible to reserve your energy and funds a little at this stage, but if you’re planning to keep going to the end of the year here’s a few ideas!

Eat at Selfridge’s rooftop restaurant, Le Chalet. It’s open until February 2015 and offers winter warming meals, alongside afternoon tea and cocktails. Read Ella’s review on Coco’s Tea Party here.

Drink fine wine at Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels, a wine bar ran by the team behind the Experimental Cocktail Club.

Enjoy one of Yannick’s walking tours and find out something you didn’t know about London. (The Macarons & Mews walking tour caught my eye!)

Bake a batch of these chocolate custard muffins from The Little Loaf and get brownie (or should I say muffin 😉 ) points with friends, family or colleagues.

Book tickets for the Underground Film Club at The Vaults in Waterloo for a below ground alternative to the summer’s Rooftop Film Club. Find film listings and book tickets here.

What are your plans for the weekend? Are you keeping it low-key ahead of the festive month coming up?
