The weekend edit #1

Of the many reasons I started to write this blog, using it as a way to keep myself motivated to continue to find new experiences and enjoy the things I love doing is what keeps it going today. And by sharing my finds with anyone who happens to pop by I hope that it keeps others exploring London too. But when life gets a bit hectic all of the options in London can leave you a little bewildered at times.

So I’ve decided to bring together all of the monthly posts I’ve done over the years (Friday finds, Snapshots of the city, On the radar) together into a bite size weekly post – The weekend edit. Every Saturday I will aim to bring you my favourite snapshot of the city, together with a short list of things to do, see, eat and book. So here’s post number #1!

Eat at Mishkins for something a little different to your dine out favourites (mine – burgers and pizza)

Drink cocktails at the new Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings for rather lovely surroundings.

Enjoy one of these hot chocolates recommended by Time Out (Rococo has my vote).

Rustle up these chorizo sausage rolls for lunch using this recipe from A Spoonful of Sugar (and if you’ve got a sweet tooth – salted caramel millionaire shortbread).

Book tickets for Battersea Park Fireworks on 8 November, it’s usually a sell out.

What are your plans for the weekend? Do you have any recommendations to share?

Oh I love the salt beef at Mishkins! Like the look of Bourne and Hollingsworth….

Thanks for the tip! I have my eye on the macaroni at Mishkins. The desserts look pretty tasty too. So many places to try, if only the weekends were three days long.
