We’ve really been treated to a glorious week of spring sunshine this week! I know it’s all about to turn a bit sour and April showers are set to swoop in but, in the spirit of the brilliant Boots ad, when it returns I want to be prepared to make the most of it. A nice cold glass of wine or refreshing cocktail is definitely one of my favourite ways to soak up the rays, and the best place to do this when you don’t have a garden is in the city up on a rooftop bar.
I’ve had a rummage around the Internet and give you five of my favourite fabulous finds.

The Roof Gardens – An established favourite for summertime drinks. I have wanted to enjoy a cocktail or a late night DJ set here for as long as I’ve lived in London. I *must* arrange a visit and make sure another summer doesn’t pass me by.
Madison – St Paul’s Cathedral is one of my favourite London icons, it’s such a stunning building and you can’t help stand in front of it in awe. So sipping a cold drink and watching the sun drop behind it sounds like a pretty perfect evening to me, Madison offers one of the best views in the area.
Boundary Rooftop bar – Beautifully designed and made for a special occasion. Dig out your best outfit and for a few hours pretend you’re in St Tropez instead of Shoreditch.
Dalston Roof Park – Sometimes it’s more about the atmosphere than the view and this looks like a great place to soak it up with the sunshine. Grass under your feet and a buzzing atmosphere, combining the best bits of a great pub and your ideal back garden. You need to become a friend for a mere £2 and then it’s free for you to enjoy.
Have you been to a great rooftop bar in London? Will you be searching for the sunshine in one this summer?
