I know, I know, the snow fall is old news. London is almost back to its usual urban self and some (possibly most) of you are even happy about this. But before we get back to the winter day dreams of lighter nights, warmer days and the sun shining through the clouds, I thought I’d take one last moment to enjoy the magical winter wonderland the city turned into with some of my favourite snow snaps.
Nothing says iconic London quite like St Paul’s Cathedral and Helena from A Diary of Lovely captured a perfect snowy scene.

My good friend Lyn sent on this picture her friend Sarah had taken as she thought I might like it. Of course I LOVE it! It reminds me of this picture from the 2011 Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition (the 2012 exhibition I MUST see before it goes).
Red coat, Union Jack umbrella, a jump pose and Parliament in the background. A brilliant tourist picture in the snow!

Snow has the power to make everything frozen in time in London. This picture by Katherine, writer of A Lady Loves Cake, could have been taken in Whitehall Gardens 50 years ago.

When the day darkens and the evening is lit by the bright lights of the city, snow sparkles with new colours.

I haven’t been sledging for a long time! When I see families take to the slopes I often feel a mixture of jealousy and nostalgia for the days of being a fearless child!

Amanda from The Online Stylist knows how to take a pretty picture. The snow provides the perfect backdrop to a little beauty indoors here.

Whilst I was tucked up in bed feeling ill (and a little sorry for myself), my sister and Rich took my camera out for some fresh air and got a few snow snaps in Greenwich Park. I love these snowmen!
I did get out and enjoy some snow the day before though and managed to take this picture from Greenwich Park of the City in a cloak of snow
Have you seen or taken any great snow pictures?
