10 things to do, see & visit in 2013

The list of things to do, see and visit in London grows all the time. It often feels difficult to keep up with all the new things that pop up around us! I also seem to find that by the end of one year there’s still a good few things niggling to be seen and squeezed in the diary. A new year begins and there’s a whole load of new and exciting things to do too! Can’t complain though as this means there’s ALWAYS something to do.

I thought I’d share 10 things on my list for 2013 to get you excited about another year of life in the city, and to see what might be on your list too. Here goes…

The Shard – The inauguration was a bit of a let down but judging by the website and this picture tweeted by Liberty London Girl I don’t think the view will disappoint.

The Bisquiteers Boutique – If you like a good biscuit with your tea, you might want to get yourself down to The Bisquiteers new boutique cafe in Notting Hill. I’ve been wanting to get my sweet tooth on one of their treats since it opened!

Ballet at the Royal Opera House – I’ve been to a few London theatre shows but I’ve never seen a ballet. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland looks spectacular.

Association Coffee – A chic coffee bar that is just slightly out of my reach being over in Aldgate and closed at the weekends, of course this means I want to get a caffeine fix there even more!

Brixton VillageI’ve heard this is a foodie heaven and that The Teas Knees pop up there from time-to-time. As I’m returning south of the river next month, it’s high up on my list of things to do once the move is complete.

Paul Smith at the Design Museum – A British designer who started out in the Midlands and rose to international fame, this exhibition promises to show us the evolution of the iconic Paul Smith we know today.

Bodos Schloss – A restaurant and bar that looks like the kind of place where you pretend you’re on a ski holiday and party till dawn. I’ve not yet been on a big night out in West London and I think Bodos Schloss would tick the box nicely.

Bam Bou – I haven’t been able to get this place out of my head since we had a cocktail in their bar, the food smelt amazing! They’re offering 50% off food via Top Table this January so I’m checking my diary for a free evening post pay-day!

Electric cinema – Over 100 years old and it still looks stunning. It’s got old-fashioned cinema date written all over it.

Vista at The Trafalgar – You can’t help but yearn for warmer climates at this time of year and I’ve been tormenting myself with London’s rooftop bars. Vista looks like a perfect treat for a warm sunny day.

What’s on your list for 2013? Have you heard of any new things popping up this year that we should be noting in our diary?

Hi there, I sort of stumbled in from Florence Finds and liked the look of your list, I love finding new things to do/see in London. Bodo’s Schloss does look really fun! Rosie from The Londoner (www.thelondoner.me) blogged about a night out there recently and it looked great!
My list of places/things in 2013 includes the Manet exhibition at the Royal Academy, making gin at the Ginstitute in Notting Hill, getting to the London coffee festival in April again (went last year and it was fab) and the amazing-looking spa at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel….

Great list there! Need to look into Manet at the RA ( I love the annual Summer exhibition there, such a pretty building too). Ginstitute sounds great! And would love to try the spa at the Renaissance too, I had a look round once and it is beautiful!
