Five blogs to follow…

…to escape the Olympics.  If you’re not experiencing Olympic fever right now, you might be looking for somewhere on the internet which isn’t all about sport.  Blogs are great places to go to for honest reviews, great photography, fashion updates and sneak peaks into the lives of others either similar to you or a world from it, across the country or around the world.  So I thought I’d round up five great blogs talking about plenty of other things going on in the world right now.

Sweet Thing is a blog written by professional photographer and LA resident, Jessie Webster.  She has a great eye for detail and what you’ll find there includes amazing photography, style and home inspiration, with a little insight into the LA lifestyle.  If you like what you see you should also check out her professional website and follow her instagram account (SweetThingBlog) for daily updates.

Florence Finds is updated twice a day with posts on a wide range of interesting topics from current fashion trends, to travel guides within the UK and around the world, together with easy to make recipes and so much more it’s easy to find yourself checking in every day.  Rebecca sets her blog apart from other lifestyle blogs by providing posts which are relevant and reflect an attainable lifestyle.  It’s no wonder she’s been nominated for a Cosmo blog award! (Not to mention she’s jointly launched a blogging masterclass blog, Dream Find Do, with another successful blogger Pocketful of Dreams).

Rosie’s writing style is what draws me into her blog The Londoner, particularly in the recipe posts.   These posts make your stomach rumble with tasty vocabulary and mouth-watering photographs, they’re generally easy to make recipes and sometimes pretty inventive too, explaining why she’s also nominated for a Cosmo Blog award in the Food category.  Through her regular posts she gives you a glimpse of a how to live a rather luxurious London lifestyle, and whilst some of these are a world from my own she makes some great restaurant recommendations and throws in affordable fashion tips from time to time too.

If you want honest and useful reviews on all the latest beauty products then you need to check out A Beauty Junkie in London. Jen posts daily and I’m sure she never misses a beat on all the latest beauty products hitting the high street.  You’ll find that the products she reviews range from low-cost to high-end so there’s something for everyone’s budget.

Mondomulia is a new blog find, discovered by a Twitter conversation about Vagabond Cafe which we’ve both reviewed.  Giulia’s photographs of this cafe were far better than my own blackberry shots and since following her blog I’ve discovered that she’s definitely got a talent for photography.  She also finds some great places to eat so if you love food or photography this is a blog for you.

If you want a place to keep all your blogs together I use a mixture of Flipboard on my iPad and BlogLovin on the computer (where you can also follow This City Life!)

Do you have any favourite blogs worth checking out?

I’m always happy to take a look at other blogs so if you think I might be interested in yours, make a comment below telling me why it’s worth a look!
