Cocktail hour ~ Archer Street, Soho

I’ve said before and I’ll say it again, there’s nothing quite like a Friday cocktail particularly when it’s a pay day treat too! So the Friday before last (where did the time go!?) me and my regular cocktail drinks partner Lucinda headed to Soho to see what it had to offer.

Going on a recommendation of a friend who knows of my love of cocktails, we decided on Archer Street and found ourselves stepping out of the tourist buzz of Piccadilly Circus into this opulent comfort.

As London seems to have an unavoidable reservation culture, I managed to book a table for two the day before to make sure we could sit down and give the menu some good consideration.

Unfortunately (or not you may think!) we found that we could have drank most of the menu! Just take a look at it (here’s the link) and you might be able to see why! At £10.50 each we didn’t drink the menu that night but chose a couple each.

From left to right – Tiki tour, French Kiss, R&R (Oriental Rose was the 4th)

All of them were delicious and I think Luc would agree some of the nicest we’ve had for a while!  Fresh, smooth and dangerously drinkable! I think we’ll be heading back for more next time we’re in the area to work our way through the options.

Despite the upmarket look, there wasn’t a pretentious atmosphere and the bar was full of regular Londoners enjoying their Friday night.  There was some live music part way through the night which was pretty good and we realised after a few minutes it was the bartender who served our drinks! So they seem to employ some talented staff!

As the name suggests you’ll find it on Archer Street in Soho, it’s so close to Piccadilly Circus that if you find yourself in one of the neighbouring areas (Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Regents Street etc) it’s definitely worth taking a rest here.

When do you like to enjoy cocktails most?
