Kaffeine on Great Titchfield Street comes highly recommended, it features in Stylist Magazine’s Top 10 Coffee shops, my latest iPad/ iPhone app addiction – London’s Best Coffee, and plenty of reviews across the internet. All confirm how great their coffee is. I’m always on the hunt for good coffee, particularly from independent cafes, so I couldn’t resist a visit this weekend.
You’ll find it just off Oxford Street, handily only a short walk from the Getty Images gallery if you’re planning to see the Marilyn Monroe exhibition like I did at the weekend. Its reputation for good coffee is obviously well-known as it was pretty busy when I arrived and plenty of people followed to grab their caffeine fix. I managed to find myself a seat at the window which was great as I love watching the world go by.
I ordered my usual (a cappuccino) with a slice of banana bread and took a seat. Both were delicious, the coffee definitely hit the spot. If you were looking for something more substantial or savoury, in addition to cakes, they also do sandwiches, salads and quiches. All of which all looked pretty tasty.
As it draws in the crowds there was a nice busy atmosphere and being so close to the shops it was quite interesting watching people go by. It’s another great place to enjoy a chat with a friend or do what you like most in a cafe. Caffeine and a breather from a hectic high street is just what you need to keep yourself going so I definitely recommend popping in if you’re in the area.
